The girls soccer team took on McKinney North in the Area round of the playoffs. Senior Brynn Baldon scored early on a header to take a 1-0 lead. McKinney North tied the score soon after with a penalty kick.
With a little under 8 minutes left in the first half, McKinney North added another goal to take a 2-1 lead. Both teams were held scoreless in the second half.
The loss ended the high school career of 14 seniors for Kingwood Park. The team finished the year with a 19-4-1 record. They went undefeated in district play.
