Senior Lexi Shannon showed up at the 5A State Wrestling Championship determined to defend her title in the 215-pound weight class. She pinned every opponent she faced en route to the title. In the finals at the Berry Center, she pinned Kashmere’s Samyra Thomas.
Shannon was 82-2 over the past two seasons. Kingwood Park has won four gold medals over the last three years.
