Ever since sixth grade, orchestra has been a huge part of Avery Alvarez’s life. The K-Park junior works day in and day out at school and at home -- constantly trying to improve in her viola skill. To some people, that might seem like way too much work. But it’s not enough for Alvarez. She also plays in the orchestra for Second Baptist Church. That means more practices after school, more songs she has to practice at home, and at least one performance a week. For Alvarez, orchestra is not stress. It is her life.
