Korbin Johnson, sophomore
As sophomore Korbin Johnson heads to his first State Championships, he remembers that he’s not just doing this for himself but for his team.
“I think it’s vital to remember that we’re all a team,” Johnson said. “I think it’s important to remember that we’re all in this together and we all need to score points for each other.”
At Region, he finished 4th in the 100 backstroke in a time of 58.27. He also took 7th in the 200 IM with a time of 2:12.88
His favorite event is the 100 backstroke.
“I went into this year not wanting to swim it at all,” Johnson said. “But once I got good at it, once I figured it out, I learned to appreciate it.”
