Bobby West, junior

Junior Bobby West said his biggest inspiration in life is his mama, because she is a single mother of nine children. Not only does she love and care for all her children, she instills hard work and dedication in them. She wants all of them, including West, to achieve their dreams and aspirations. 

“The way she loves us is unexplainable,” West said. “I’ve never seen her complain or give up. She is selfless.” 

West wants to continue to make her proud in every way possible. He won’t stop until he reaches his goals and provides for her like she provided for him.

“She takes time out with each of us,” West said. “She motivates me to work hard to give her the life she deserves.” 

What does black history month mean to you?

“Show who I really am and show that am the same as other people. I’m not different.”
