Tristen Ofurhie, freshman

Freshman Tristen Ofurhie follows in the footsteps of his mother while striving to be more like her and accomplish the same success she has. Because of the countless things she’s done for him, he said he’s forever grateful. 

“I’m grateful for the way she raised me and the things that she did for me,” Ofurhie said. “She put a roof over my head and put clothes on my back.”

What does Black History Month mean to you?

“It’s about our history and the things we’ve been through for the past hundreds of years.”
