“Made in the A.M.” is One Direction’s fifth album and it’s also the first album without Zayn Malik. Consisting of mainly slow songs and ballads along with a few upbeat songs, the album is far from disappointing. Although some fans were doubtful it wouldn’t be as great as past albums because Zayn Malik is no longer part of the band, the album is the best album One Direction has released yet. The boys also contributed to the writing of nine of the songs on the album, such as “Perfect” which is rumored to be written about Taylor Swift . With jazzy songs like “Wolves” and “History” and 80’s songs like “What a Feeling” and “Never Enough”, the album offers fans a little bit of everything music wise. A new album and one member gone also means more solos and new parts for the band, Louis Tomlinson has shocked fans by singing some of the high notes, which were previously sang by Malik.“If I Could Fly” is a slow emotional ballad that makes fans fall even more love with the British Irish boy band. “Made in the AM” is just more proof that One Direction is here to stay so don’t give up on them. They’re not going anywhere anytime soon.
