The Ahrendt family launched the L3 Foundation after losing their 10-year-old son Landon to rhabdomyosarcoma, which is a rare soft tissue cancer. On Thanksgiving, they held the 10th annual Turkey Day 5K with more than 2,000 participants. The L3 Foundation has spent the past 10 years helping children who are fighting childhood cancer and their families. The foundation has raised more than $1 million to help fund research to find a cure.
The L3 Foundation announced that Addi’s Faith Foundation would take over the Turkey Day 5K beginning next year.
