The boys basketball team faced its first district opponent in the Crosby Cougars on Dec. 17. The game was a nail biter that came down to the last few seconds where Crosby was able to score and go up by 2 and as the buzzer sounded, resulting in a 57-59 Crosby win. This was a setback for the Panthers whose goal is to win a district championship, but the players are looking to use this loss as motivation going into the rest of district play.
