Seniors Aaron Rivera and Courtney Daniel were voted by their peers for the annual Student of Character honor. Each year, Humble ISD recognizes a senior boy and girl from each high school campus as Student of Character honorees. They attend a district luncheon. Meet this year’s representatives from Kingwood Park.

What does this mean to you? “It means a lot. It’s an honor and a blessing to receive this, just to know like that my classmates think that highly of me.”
What are your plans for next year? “I’m going to go into the Air Force. I don’t know when I will leave yet. I still need to take my ASVAB, but those are my plans.”
Who is someone you admire or try to model yourself after? “I would have to say my grandpa. He’s always just taught me to live with integrity and always do the right thing. Just always go your hardest and give it your best.”

What does this mean for you? “Honestly, I think it’s just like really awesome to know that I was recognized by my classmates. I think that’s really just touching to know that other people see me as, you know, someone with character. I’m really appreciative.”
What are your plans for next year? “So, next year I will be at the University of Tennessee. I leave I believe May 28, so I will be heading out there pretty soon.”
Who is someone you admire or try to model yourself after? “Honestly, probably my mom. My mom is probably one of the most like driven people I know. I think I really try to model myself after her just because I recognize the effort and the work and just the love she has for everybody around her. I definitely think she’s one of my biggest role models.”
