The girls soccer team hits the road for the playoffs on Friday night. They finished second in 5A-Region 3 District 18 this season with a 10-1-1 record. The Panthers, who were 16-7-1 overall, will face Region 3 District 17 champion A&M Consolidated, who finished 20-0-1 on the season. The teams will kick off at 6:30 p.m. at Tomball Memorial. Meet some of the key players who will take the field for the Panthers.

KRISSLYN BOYLES, senior

Someone you admire: “My mom because she played volleyball in college and was a varsity coach. I try to do my best for her. When she gives me athletic advice, I try to take it seriously.”
Season highlight: “Against Porter, Sydney was taking a few kick and I ran in front of everyone and got a header in the goal.”

FLAVIA SALIMA MARCANO, senior

PEYTON SMITHSON, sophomore

SYDNEY ORTIZ, sophomore

Season highlight: “In our game against Porter, I took a free kick at the 40-yard line. Kriss ran in and headed it in the goal. It was my first high school assist.”

ALYSSA TOPPASS, sophomore
