Popular rapper Chief Keef arrested in Los Angeles
February 2, 2017
Keith Cozart, a 21-year-old rapper out of Chicago’s southside known by the stage name “Chief Keef,” was arrested in Los Angeles last Thursday. Known for his intense lyrics and violent behavior, he is very popular among young hip-hop fans. With the release of his 2017 album “Two Zero One Seven,” Cozart claimed to be a new man and finished with his criminal behavior.
It appears though, as of last Thursday, Cozart has broken his New Year’s resolution.
The Los Angeles Police Department has confirmed that he was charged with robbery and assault of his former producer, known as “Ramsay Tha Great.” The alleged assault took place on Jan. 19. After a video surfaced on social media of the victim explaining what happened, Chief Keef and another Chicago rapper, Tadoe, were arrested for robbery. The “Finally Rich” rapper is now being held at a $500,000 bail.
Ramsay claims that Cozart robbed him while wielding an AK-47 assault rifle. Ramsey also claims that Cozart physically assaulted him, putting him in the hospital.
