Angel Tree, wish lists to arrive after Thanksgiving break

For about eight years, students and staff have given back to the community by collecting donations for an Angel Tree.

“K-Park is just known for giving back to its community,” assistant principal Dr. Amy Wallace said.

The names and wish lists will arrive the week after Thanksgiving break. The school will start accepting donations from then until Dec. 18. More than 100 kids are taken care of each year. This year Kingwood Park is going to help students in their own community, plus students at Ross Sterling Elementary and North Belt Elementary.

“Our students learn that there are kids in in the area that simply want food and clothes,” Wallace said.
