What is your number?

“1. I didn’t get to pick but I like it because it’s a single digit.”

What do you do to prepare on game day?

“I listen to music and try to get all my work done.”

What is your go-to pregame meal or snack?

“My go-to pregame meal is leftovers and a Powerade because they won’t make me throw up.”

What music do you like to listen to on game day?

“I like listening to rap, like Drake or YoungBoy.” 

Who is your favorite professional player?

“Pete Maravich, he’s the OG. Or Muggsy Bogues because he’s short.”

What is your number?

”5, because it’s my lucky number. It’s the day of my birthday and I’ve just been 5 my whole life.”

What do you do to prepare on game day?

“Ball handling, and I listen to music to mentally prepare myself.”

What is your go-to pregame meal or snack?

“I eat anything. I remember the time I ate sushi before a game, so I don’t have a go-to.”

What music do you like to listen to on game day?

“I listen to everything, it’s mostly like upbeat.”

Who is your favorite professioanl player? 

“Stephen Curry and Kyrie (Irving). I like Steph because he changed the game of shooting and I like the way Kyrie handles the ball.”

What is your number?

“3 because it’s a single digit number. I wanted 2 but we didn’t have 2.”

What do you do to prepare on game day?

“Music.”

What is your go-to pregame meal or snack?

“Subway because my mom doesn’t let me eat fast food before the game.”

What music do you like to listen to on game day? 

“Rap, because it hypes me up.”

What superstitions do you have?

“I feel like if I eat fast food, I do bad.”

Who is your favorite NBA or WNBA player?

“Ja Morant because he’s cute and I actually like the way he plays, like ever since I started watching him.”

Position: Shooting guard

What is your number?

“12. I’ve been No. 12 since fifth grade. My number has never changed. It’s important to me because I didn’t get to pick it when I was younger. My coach just gave it to me, but I just started playing really good, so I was like I’ll just keep this number forever.”

What do you do to prepare on game day?

“Before a game I’ll do homework, listen to music and I usually eat a lot of snacks.”

What is your go-to pregame meal or snack? 

“My go-to meal before a game is Chipotle. I love Chipotle because I get something different every single time. I really just depends on what I’m in the mood for.”

What music do you like to listen to on game day?

“During pre-game, I usually just listen to anything Drake and that hypes me up.” 

What superstitions do you have?

“I always put on my left ankle brace and my left knee pads before my right one because I had surgery on my left ankle so I just do it for protection.”

Who is your favorite professional  player?

“My favorite WNBA player is Sue Bird because she’s not the fastest out there but her court vision is great and she can shoot it really well. Then my favorite NBA player of all time is probably Steph (Curry). Ever since I was little, I wanted to shoot like him.”

Katie Gerbasich, senior

Position: Shooting guard

What is your number?

“30, I got stuck with it last year. But it worked out because my dad was 3 in high school, so it kind of reminds me of him. “

What do you do to prepare on game day?

“I usually try to eat a good lunch. Then I relax before the game so I don’t get too nervous.”

What is your go-to pregame meal or snack?

“I have a very sensitive stomach, so it’s usually just a turkey sandwich and some chips.”

What music do you like to listen to on game day?

“I will listen to something different almost every time depending on my mood. Sometimes I need something to get me hype or something to sleep to, but Taylor Swift is usually always a go-to.”

What superstitions do you have?

“I always have to double knot my shoelaces because I tripped subbing in during a middle school game and it’s haunted me forever. Then I have to double knot my shooter shirt so it’s easier to find after the game.”

Who is your favorite professional  player?

“I don’t know if I have a specific favorite because I like a lot of them, but the Warriors team overall is so much fun to watch. Their ball movement is unmatched.”

“21, because my sister was 12 and that’s 21 backwards.”

What do you do to prepare on game day?

“I just listen to music.”

What is your go-to pregame meal or snack?

“Subway or Chick-fil-A because it’s just good and I like it.”

What music do you like to listen to on game day?

“R&B because it’s calming and peaceful.”

Who is your favorite professional player?

“Diana Taurasi because she’s the G.O.A.T. and Ja Morant because he’s fine.”
