Logan Gonzales

Logan Gonzales, junior

Last year, junior Logan Gonzales missed out on the State Meet by just a couple points of a second. This year, he is making the trip with 20 of his teammates.

“I definitely knew I was going to pull up to State after last year,” Gonzales said. “I knew I was going to get faster this year.”

At region, Gonzales was part of the 200 free relay and the 200 medley relay, both of which advanced to the State Meet.

He worked hard all year toward this moment, training with his coaches and working with his team.

“Once the coach told me I was a state qualifier, all the stress went away,” Gonzales said.

In the next days leading up to State, Gonzales planned to eat healthy, train and just prepare. He is excited to compete in Austin with his teammates.

“If you think you can do it, chase your dreams,” Gonzales said.
