Meet the Mr. K-Park Contestants

What are you most looking forward to in Mr. K-Park?

A: “Probably the talent show because I think I have a really good talent.”

How do you feel about the pageant?

A: “I think it’s going to be hilarious, looking at all these dudes trying to sing and stuff.”

Why were you chosen?

A: “Because I don’t really get embarrassed by trying to hype people up, and bringing energy like most people do.” 

How do you feel about the pageant?

A: “I think it’s a good thing to have. It brings a kind of originality and brings back a thing that we used to have in the past.”

How are you preparing for the pageant?

A: “I’m not really preparing for it, I’m just winging and seeing how it goes.”

How do you feel about the pageant?

A: “It’s been a roller coaster, I’d say. First I was dreading it and then I was looking forward to it, then a little bit more dread, and now I’m just ready to get it going.”

How are you preparing for the pageant?

A: “I’m practicing my talent at home a lot and just making sure it’s perfected for the stage.”

Why did you pick your talent?

A: “I wanted to do something that was unique to re-spark a memory in people’s minds.”

What are you most looking forward to?

A: “I’m definitely looking forward to getting on stage and being the center of attention for at least a minute.”

How do you feel about the pageant? 

A: ”It’s a great opportunity to raise money for the school, and I think it’s fun and funny. You know, just getting another opportunity to be involved with something here.”

How are you preparing for the pageant? 

A: “People say I have a way with words, I’m working over it in my head just thinking, ok how do I speak to a group of people? And how do I do that on stage, so I visualize it over and over in my head, so that maybe when I step up I’m less anxious.”

What are you most looking forward to?

A: “Representing band and getting the most out of that and representing myself in a good way.”

How do you feel about the pageant?

A: “I know I’m going to be nervous but I’m not really nervous right now. I’m kind of looking forward to it, like let’s freaking go.”

What are you most looking forward to?

A: “They said we are going to get dinner for free, so I’m excited for that.” 

Why did you pick your talent?

A: “The teacher said the non-serious talents normally win, so I picked that. It’s like if you think about it, it does take talent to do. I won’t get hurt. I’m a professional.”

A: “Seeing everybody’s talent and seeing who’s going to win.”

How do you feel about the pageant?

A: “This is something cool, we are bringing organizations together.” 

How are you preparing for the pageant? 

A: “Me and my girl Amara Amadi, have been practicing during Flex.”

Why were you chosen?

A: “I’m representing cheer, probably because I’m the only guy on the team.”

How do you feel about the pageant?

A: “I feel it’s going to be a big success, I think we’re going to get a lot of support and we’re gonna have a lot of fun.”

How are you preparing for the pageant?  

A: “I’m preparing by gathering the people I’ll have to perform with me, and we’re going to practice.”

Why were you chosen?

A: “I feel like I was chosen because I best fit the role.”

What are you most looking forward to in Mr. K-Park?

A: “I’m mostly excited for the talent part because I feel like it will be a fun time to be able to express myself.”  

How do you feel about the pageant?

A: “I feel like it’s a pretty neat thing to do, and pretty happy I get to be part of it.”

Why were you chosen?

A: “Really the stupid answer is because I’m the strongest and known as that guy. Really we were just talking and they just nominated me.”

What are you most looking forward to?

A: “Playing my talent, 100% confident. I’ve been practicing everyday for the last week”

What are you most looking forward to in Mr. K-Park?

A: “Honestly, I’m looking forward to the competition. I like the concept of it and I think it will be a really fun experience.”

How do you feel about the pageant?

A: “I like the idea of it, it seems pretty cool. It’s a little weird, I’m not going to lie, like me being in a beauty pageant, but I mean, can’t complain.”

A: “To show off my talent because I think I’m going to do really good.”

A: “I’m a little nervous but I think I’m going to win.” 

How are you preparing for the pageant? 

A: “I’m getting ready, I can’t tell my talent but I’ve been practicing.”

How do you feel about the pageant?

A: “It’s all right, I know my competition and it’s decent.”

What are you doing to prepare for the pageant?

A: “We’ve been practicing a lot. On Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays after school.”

Why did you pick your talent?

A: “I really liked it when I was a kid and I still do.”

Why were you chosen?

A: ”So I’m an officer in HOSA and we kinda asked the members to vote for who they wanted to represent our organization and I came out with the most votes. It was a cool opportunity to represent an organization I’ve been heavily involved with.”

How do you feel about the pageant? 

A: “I think it’s funny. I’m excited and think it will be pretty interesting. I don’t think anybody has really prepared to do the choreographed dance but that’s gonna be funny.”

What are you most looking forward to?

A: “Probably the interview portion. I don’t think the questions will be anything serious. It will be interesting to see how people respond.”

How are you  preparing for your talent?

A: “I haven’t really practiced, but I’ve bought the costume off of Amazon.”

A: “I think it will be cool. I’m nervous for it but excited because the choreographed dance is going to be something, because I don’t think anybody’s really practicing it”

A: “I’m just kinda practicing at home. I’ve never really played in front of an audience.”

A: “I’m the president of FCA.”

What are you most looking forward to in Mr. KPark?

A: “Probably just getting it over with because my act is not that good.”

A: “I’m looking forward to the talent show, and just seeing other people’s talents.”

A: “Pretty good. I feel like it’s going to be really fun.”

A: “I’ve taken time to look over my wardrobe.”

A: “I’m cupping myself so I wont be sore and I’m just getting ready.”

A: “I feel like it’s been really fun. At first, I’m not gonna lie, I was kinda iffy about it. But whenever we were doing rehearsals yesterday it was really fun. All the talents, watching them, was really funny.” 

How are you preparing for the pageant?

A: “Well there’s the dance at the start that we have to learn, and I’m having to learn that. And then for my talent, I already knew how to do it, so I haven’t had to do much for that.”

A: “I think it’s great. I’m a little nervous

A: “Learn how to do a backflip.”

Why were you chosen?

A: “Honestly because I’m one of two boys in the club, so it was kind of a toss-up.”

How do you feel about the pageant?

A: “I was unsure at first because I’m kinda nervous in front of a lot of people. But I’ve been practicing a lot, and I’ve started to feel a lot more confident about it, and I’m excited.”

How are you preparing for the pageant?

A: “My girlfriend and I, we practiced for, like, two weeks, on a little routine that I’m doing for my performance. I’ve put in a lot of effort and practice.”
