GUIDE: All you need to know for homecoming week

This year’s homecoming week happens to fall on the same week as Halloween, which adds an element of excitement and fun as the weekend approaches.
“It’s really a fun time of year,” said senior Stuart Hebert, who has worked with Student Council to put homecoming together.
Senior Nick Logan, who was nominated for homecoming king, is ecstatic about the week.
“Being nominated means that’s I’ve made a good name for myself,” he said, “and participating in theme days and fun weeks like this is what has really helped me enjoy high school.”
The festivities have already begun. Here is the top five things to keep you in the loop throughout the week.
- Theme Days-Dress according to the theme
- Monday: ‘Merica Monday
- Tuesday: Mathletes vs Athletes
- Wednesday: Character Day
- Thursday: Throwback Thursday
- Friday: School Spirit/Mum and Garter day
- Ticket Info
- Sold on the KPHS website, $35 a ticket
- Will NOT be sold at door
- Dance Info
- Theme-The Greatest Showman
- Time- 7:30-10:30 p.m.
- Place- KPHS Commons, Cafeteria
- Pep Rally
- Friday between 2nd and 3rd period in big gym
- Will feature red wagon parade, dance/cheer performances, beau and bell ceremony, homecoming court appearances
- Homecoming court voting
- Takes place in English classes
- Winners to be presented at football game at Turner Stadium on Friday
