The regional swimming and diving meets are underway as the boys and girls teams hope to qualify for the 5-A State Championships in Austin.
The boys are the defending 5-A State Champions. They won the state meet last year with 215 points. Frisco Wakeland was second with 156.
To help with COVID, the regional meet was separated into two days with the girls swimming today and the boys competing tomorrow at Don Cook Natatorium in Sugar Land. The top finisher in each event will qualify for the State Championships. The next spots at state will go to the 8 fastest swimmers from across the state.
