The girls soccer team had its 20-game win streak snapped on Tuesday night against Anderson HS (Austin). The game was tied after regulation, but Anderson (14-5-3, 10-1-3 in district) scored the lone goal of the game with about two minutes remaining in the first period of extra time.

The Panthers were without sophomore Emma Yeager, who was injured against Waller in Round 1 of the playoffs. Yeager set the team’s single-season scoring record with 43 goals this year.

The team graduates seven seniors, including Samantha Valadez, Cora Morgenroth, Lori Do, Aliyah Bustamante, Rina Lawrence, Jordan Meyer, Casey Smoot and Maddie McComb.
