Do you have a name for your tennis racket? If so, why did you give it that name?

“I do, it’s Deliah. Because when Deliah [Perry] was on the team we would always say Deliah and she would always get confused. It was kind of an inside joke between all of us, so my racket’s name is Deliah.”
What do you like most about the tennis team?
“I like how close we all are with each other. I made so many good friends, which really helps a lot with the mental aspect. Just playing tennis – I love it so much.”
Do you play doubles or singles? Who is your doubles partner?
“I play girls doubles and number two singles. Pippi [Timpanaro] is my doubles partner.”
What has been the highlight of the season for you?
“Probably getting to play a higher spot this year. Definitely a big highlight of it is that I love playing up against even better people. It’s awesome.”
If you didn’t play tennis what other sport would you play?
“Probably track. I did track when I was middle school. Track or cross country because I do love running.”
What is the coolest place you’ve ever traveled to?
“Probably Cozumel. I love the blue waters and everything. It was so beautiful and I loved it.”
Who is your biggest role model?
“If it was on the tennis team, probably Travis [Lawson]. I’ve looked up to him since Day One. He’s such a good player – his form, everything. I aspire to be him. He’s definitely a role model to push myself for sure.”
If you could have any pet as an animal what would it be? Why?
“A chameleon. I’ve wanted a chameleon for so long. I guess when I was little I loved Tangled so I was like, ‘OMG, I want a chameleon.’ It would be a dream pet if I could, but my parents are like no reptiles.”
What is your favorite go-to snack?
“Probably Welch’s fruit snacks. It’s Sean [Helton] and I’s good luck thing. We always eat a pack before we play.”
What would be your theme song if you walked into a room?
“Any Luke Bryan song or ‘Party Rock Anthem.’ Something fun.”
If you could have lunch with anybody, who would it be?
“Probably Chris Pine. I love him as an actor. I’d love to have lunch with him. That would be really cool.”
