New batch of players ready to lead boys squad

The boys basketball went undefeated and reached the third round of the playoffs last season. They return this year with a new squad, after all of last year’s starters graduated. Meet five of the players expected to make an impact this season.

“25, because it was the largest size they had.”

What do you do to prepare on game day?

“I listen to my music and I just try and focus and get locked in.”

What is your go-to pregame meal or snack?

“I don’t eat because I would throw it up.”

What music do you like to listen to on game day?

“I listen to a lot. Mines a mix. I’ll listen to anything that will hype me up. So it could be country, it could be The Kid LAROI, it  could be rap, it could be whatever.”

Who is your favorite NBA player and what is it about them or their game that you like?

“Ja Morant because he looks like Davion (Sanford).”

“5. I wore it my freshman year too, because that’s what they gave me.”

What do you do to prepare on game day?

“Listen to my music and just stay quiet.” 

What is your go-to pregame meal or snack? 

“Subway because I get bread and get the carbs.” 

What music do you like to listen to on game day?

“I listen to a lot of Rap music because it gets me fired up. I listen to Yeet and 2Tymes because it makes me feel like a demon.”

What superstitions do you have?

“I tie my shoe super tight because I can’t deal with loose shoes.”

“LaMelo Ball because he has the flash.”

“Just listen to my music and try to lock in.”

“Fruit because it tastes good.”

“Giveon because it just keeps me calm and I like his music.”

“Shai Gilgeous-Alexander because he’s tough.”

“3 because it’s a tough number and it’s a single digit.”

“I stretch or I meditate – one of the two.”

What is your go-to pregame meal or snack?

“Probably a smoothie or fruit because it makes me feel good.”

What music do you like to listen to on game day?

“I listen to a lot of Halloween-themed music or like ocean sounds because it just relaxes me, I don’t know why. It makes me feel devious.”

What superstitions do you have?

“I feel like if I don’t drink a Monster before a game I play horrible.”

“Ja Morant because he plays just like me.”
