Michael
The biotopic, “Michael,” has become one of the most anticipated movies of 2026. Directed by Antoine Fuqua, “Michael” follows the global phenomenon, Michael Jackson, and his transformation from a child star performing in the family band, The Jackson five, to being one of the most famous people in the world. Jackson’s real-life nephew, Jaafar Jackson, stars as Michael and has shocked the viewers with the early glimpses of his authentic portrayal.
The trailer alone just makes viewers fully anticipate the upcoming movie. The music grabs the audience’s attention and makes them reminisce on Jackson’s cultural impact. The cinematography has also pulled people in. The last shot shows Jaafar Jackson as Michael performing and hitting his signature dance move. This shot alone is excellent and shows how high quality the movie will be.
Set to release April 24, “Micheal” is expected to be a big success in the box office. The movie seems to show two sides of Jackson – his celebrity life and the hardships that came with it. We can expect to see the pressures and the successes of his life. “Michael” will be the must-see movie of 2026.
The Devil Wears Prada 2
The Devil wears Prada 2, sequel to the renowned 2006 The Devil Wears Prada, is to be released May 1. Although the movie has brought much excitement, many fans of the original are worried that the sequel is predictable and boring and will not reach the same status the original achieved.
The sequel brings back Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway, both reprising the same roles of Miranda Priestly and Andrea (Andy) Sachs. The movies are both set in New York and many behind the scenes clips have gone viral and circulated online. Some say it feels like we’ve already seen the movie through the bits of clips released.
The teaser trailer alone does not give us much insight into the plot, showing only a few clips of the inner workings of the fashion industry. The trailer ends with Andrea Sachs (Hathaway) walking up to Miranda Priestly (Streep) in an elevator and standing beside her. This makes some believe that Andrea will be taking over or reaching the same status as Miranda. Whether the movie lives up to the same hype as the first or not, I’m sure it will be one of the most memorable movies of 2026.

The Death of Robin Hood
“The Death of Robin Hood” is a dark reimagining of the classic children’s tale. The film follows an aged, weary Robin Hood, burdened with a life of violence and murder, who finds unexpected redemption through a mysterious healer.
This reimagining of the classic story is expected to be much darker, grittier, intense and full of graphic violence. The cinematography is breathtaking, and the acting seems supreme. Hugh Jackman plays the vigilante Robin Hood in what looks to be this new, brutal, morally ambiguous adventure. It releases on Nov. 2.
The newly released trailer frames the movie as brutal and emotional, a much-needed comeback from the Robin Hood universe. With underwhelming sequels, “The Death of Robin Hood” has the potential to be the best in the series.
