What pre-round routines or rituals do you have? “I have to listen to music especially rap/Sexyy Red.”
What keeps you motivated on the golf course when things aren’t going so well? “That the bad round doesn’t define a golfer or person, and it’s not the end of the world.”
Describe your favorite memory with your team this season. “When Coach Watson wears his bows and makes fun of people and me.”
What has had the biggest impact on your golf game? “Mentally because it affects how I come back after a shot or round.”
What was the highlight of the District Meet? “Placing 3rd place because I wanted to place so bad and beat the girl from Crosby.”
What are you most excited about with the Region meet? “So I can make State and have all my opps watch me walk around the school because I made State.”

What is your favorite course you’ve played at this year? “Moody Gardens. It was a really challenging course, and it was really pretty.”

What pre-round routines or rituals do you have? “Clear my mind and try to clip the ground with the club.”
What keeps you motivated on the golf course when things aren’t going so well? “What keeps me motivated is finishing the last hole and knowing I have a team that supports me and can me help me during practice.”
Describe your favorite memory with your team this season. “The Sam Rayburn trip.“
Who has had the biggest impact on your golf game? “My dad. He keeps me motivated and helps me when I’m struggling and is always there for me.”
What was the highlight of the District Meet and why? “Winning.”
What are you most excited about with the Region meet? “To see the Mont Belvieu girls, get placed as a team or individually and go to State!”

What pre-round routines or rituals do you have? “Get well rested and listen to music.”
What keeps you motivated on the golf course when things aren’t going so well? “Even the pros mess up badly, so forget about it and par or better the next hole.”
Describe your favorite memory with your team this season. “Going to Sam Rayburn and watching the sunset. “
Who has had the biggest impact on your golf game? “My dad. He motivates me to keep going and to never give up. He makes sure I know I’m capable of anything if I put in the effort.”
What was the highlight of the District Meet? “Having a bad tee shot with a punch out through the trees and making a birdie”
What are you most excited about with the Region meet? “The competition is more difficult; it’s going to be more rewarding to place well against good golfers.”

What is your favorite course you’ve played at this year? “Brenham, I shot my best round there and have also made a hole in one there in previous tournaments.”

What pre-round routines or rituals do you have? “Always get Whataburger for breakfast.”
What keeps you motivated on the golf course when things aren’t going so well? “Life goes on.”
Describe your favorite memory with your team this season. “Getting dumpling squishies at the Christmas party.”
Who has had the biggest impact on your golf game? “Matt Wright at Barbell & Birdie. He helps keep me motivated to pursue golf.”
What was the highlight of the District Meet? “Making solid birdies during my first round.”
What are you most excited about with the Region meet ahead? “I have high hopes for my round because I’ve been practicing, so I’m excited to see the outcome.”
Rachel Hamilton, sophomore

What is your dream club to own and add to your bag? “Master’s Azalea golf set or TaylorMade Spider Putter.”
What is your favorite course you’ve played at this year? “The Liberty golf course. I liked it the best because of how open the course is, and it is a nice and short course.”
Who is your favorite pro golfer? “Nelly Korda, because she has a powerful swing, and when there is a bad shot, she always thinks positively and improves on the next.”
What pre-round routines or rituals do you have? “Listening to music or relaxing my mind on the way and then warming up just enough so I don’t get tired out.”
What keeps you motivated on the golf course when things aren’t going so well? “When things aren’t going good I think about how the next hole could be better, and I try to keep things positive.”
Describe your favorite memory with your team this season. “My favorite memory with the team this season is when we had dinner before districts at someone’s house. We all made food to bring, and we played games after.”
Who has had the biggest impact on your golf game? “My dad has had the biggest impact on my golf game because he pushes me the most to be the best that I can, and he helps me practice.”
What was the highlight of the District Meet? “My highlight of the District meet was getting to have fun with my teammate and make new friends with the people I got to play with over the two days.”
What are you most excited about with the Region meet ahead? “I’m excited that I get to go to region, and I think that it will be a good time with the team.”

What is your favorite golf ball brand and color to play with? “I like to play with Callaway balls and in white.”
What is your dream club to own and add to your bag? “I think the Callaway Golf Solitaire clubs, because they are really pretty and they are nice to use.”
What is your favorite course you’ve played at this year? “South Shore Harbor, because it was a really nice course. I broke 100 on that course too, so that was a big milestone for me.”
Who is your favorite pro golfer? “Rory McIlroy, because my parents love him too, and I kinda grew up watching him play golf on TV, so he was an influence on me. “
What pre-round routines or rituals do you have? “I usually do a lot of practicing and drills to prep my swing, ready for the round.”
What keeps you motivated on the golf course when things aren’t going so well? “Think when my teammates or coach tells me that it is okay, and when some family members tell me that I am doing great.”
Describe your favorite memory with your team this season. “I think on the way and back from districts, when we won because we won such a big tournament, and it made us all feel great.”
Who has had the biggest impact on your golf game? “My dad, because he has helped me with my swing ever since I was little. He has impacted me a lot, and always kept me motivated and helped out when I needed it. He always goes out to practice with me whenever I wanted too. “
What was the highlight of the District Meet? “At the end, when we all found out we won was a great moment, and my team getting second place was an amazing highlight for all of us.”
What are you most excited about with the Region meet ahead? “Getting to go to regionals is already amazing, and spending more time with my team will be fun.”
