Being successful isn’t just about the skill you have but also about the determination. Sophomore Hannah Overmyer has both – and not just in one sport but in three.

Overmyer made varsity teams in volleyball, basketball and track as a freshman. Now, she is trying to continue that success this year.

“The fight in her, she doesn’t want to lose,” basketball coach LeighAnn Wolfe said.

With Overmyer and her teammates, the volleyball program is out to a 21-3 start. They are looking to finish strong as they work to secure a spot in the postseason.

There is no doubt that Overmyer loves to compete, loves to win and strives to be the best. Volleyball coach Tammy White describes Overmyer as an extreme competitor with a humble personality.

“Every practice and game she surprises me by pulling some new trick out of her belt like it’s an instinct,” White said.

Sophomore Alex Plummer described Overmyer as a leader, encourager and a reliable teammate.

“Hannah has a way of keeping everyone calm on the court while still giving 100 percent,” Plummer said.
