Hurricane Beryl, a Category 1 storm, hit the Kingwood community on July 8. It had sustained winds of 80 mph, causing massive damage throughout Kingwood. Many Kingwood Park High School families were directly impacted by the storm and power has yet to be restored in large parts of Kingwood.
