The boys soccer team (17-3-2, 9-2-1) broke a 2-2 tie late in the game against Rudder HS to pull out a 4-2 victory. Senior Chase Bennett scored two goals. Senior Grant Jimerson and sophomore Kye Wehby each added one.
The Panthers, which reached the regional semifinals last season, will now face Port Arthur Memorial (11-5-7, 6-2-6) tonight at Goose Creek Memorial High School for the Area Round playoff game at 7 p.m.
