After weeks of rehearsal every Tuesday since March 31, orchestra students went on the annual Spring Trip. This year, the trip was to San Antonio to compete at Boerne Champion High School on April 24, where they won a trophy for Superior Ratings, awards for Best in Class and Best in Festival. In addition to that, Special Recognition Medals were given to junior Brock Hirshfield, junior Claire Slaydon, and senior Andrea Hernandez.
After the competition, the students explored the San Antonio River Walk, took a boat tour and watched The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. At the Natural Bridge Caverns, they escaped a maze, traversed through a zip line course and took a cavern tour. See a slideshow of images from the weekend.
