[Slideshow] Scrimmages kick off softball players’ long-awaited return

The softball team took to the field for scrimmages against Baytown Sterling and Summer Creek on Jan. 30 at Turner Stadium. It was the girls’ first games since their season was cut short last March because of COVID-19.

The Panthers defeated Baytown Sterling 7-3. Summer Creek won the second game 3-1. The team will scrimmage against Grand Oaks and Kingwood on Feb. 9 and 10. Their first home game will be against Mayde Creek on Feb. 16.
