France has made it out of the group stages and want to repeat their success as they did in 2018 when they won. France is ranked 4th on the FIFA rankings and definitely favorites.

3. Portugal

Portugal wants to win the tournament like they did the 2016 Euros. Portugal is ranked 9th in the FIFA rankings and trying to win its first World Cup for their nation.

“Portugal has been doing the best so far. They’re the most interesting to watch and have very exciting players.”- Daniel Ascuna, 9

Morocco topped a hard group with Croatia and Belgium by earning two wins and a draw. Morocco is only ranked 22nd and are massive underdogs, who will have to go against Spain.

6. England

England has won the World Cup only once in its history. England is a favorite for this tournament because of its squad depth and young talent. England is ranked No. 5 in the FIFA rankings and are still undefeated in the World Cup.

7. Netherlands

The Netherlands have come very close to winning the World Cup many times and hope to finally capture it this time. The Netherlands are ranked No. 8 in the FIFA rankings after they topped their group, which included World Cup hosts Qatar.
