Manga vs. anime

The One Piece anime wouldn’t have happened without the manga, which was released in 1997. It became such a big franchise around the anime and manga community. The similarities and differences between the two have helped attract fans to both platforms. 

The manga and the anime have similarities that make it nostalgic and familiar to viewers who’ve either seen one or both platforms. Many fans across the world find entertainment in both of them. People worldwide can get the same experience from either, which makes them more intrigued and involved in the franchise, making its influence grow so much that it’s known as one of the greatest franchises in the world today.

There are scenes in the manga that somewhat correlate to the anime that brings out the familiarity. Many fans look forward to seeing this familiarity when they come across either because it gives them a sense of recognition that helps them understand what they’re dealing with, which makes them enjoy it to the fullest. Both platforms have completely blown away all expectations for many viewers because of the amount of time and effort it took to make these works of art. It is beyond phenomenal for the One Piece community to comprehend, both creating answers as well as questions for the fans to figure out. 

Of course, there are always differences to notice between the two platforms. One of them is censorship, which is an obvious difference, because there are certain panels in the manga series that are cut and replaced in the anime due to the amount of gore that is shown in it. Another difference is how exaggerated certain scenes can be in the anime, such as a simple act being done by one of the main characters that suddenly becomes a big deal. The anime has side stories that the manga does not because the manga’s purpose is to focus only on the main storyline and not anything else, but that’s probably because of different release dates that the anime was able to do that. These differences were probably made because of budget constraints, lack of time or censorship problems. Regardless of those things, they were made to best fit either the anime or the manga series that the public fully accepted with open arms.

Overall, the similarities and differences made this franchise into something big. Despite all of these changes, people accepted that and still enjoyed it to the fullest because they understood and appreciated the hard work that was put into them to create absolute greatness. Although some people may not feel the same, these changes made each platform into what they are today and has put a smile on everyone across the One Piece community, showing how big of an imprint this franchise has made to the world.
