[Slideshow] Boys soccer team overcomes rain, red cards in scrimmage

Senior Captain Luke Cavallo goes in for a slide tackle against a Kingwood forward. He later earned a red card during the game.

Every year, the Kingwood Park and Kingwood High School boys soccer teams come together for a charity scrimmage. The game is typically intense between the crosstown rivals. This season’s match was no different as the game was played during a steady rain for all 80 minutes.

A number of yellow cards were issued in the physical matchup. Kingwood Park finished the game with only nine players after Grant Jimerson and Luke Cavallo had to leave after each picked up two yellow cards. Kingwood finished the game with 10 players because of a red card as well. The game finished in a 0-0 tie.
