Apple released the brand new iPhone 15 in September. It is  designed to be the best smartphone in the world. It has all the latest features and technology that people could ever imagine. Coming in all sorts of colors,the phone is sleek, powerful, and beautiful to behold.

However, one thing that people didn’t anticipate was the new charger that came with it. The iPhone 15 is the first phone to have a USB-C charger, which means that people who had older chargers can’t use them anymore. This was a big shock to many people.

“I hate them, why couldn’t Apple just stick with the old one? They’re just asking for money because we need to buy new chargers. plus the new chargers don’t even come with the new phones,” Isabel Venegas, 11, said.

The reason for the change by Apple was because of a new law passed in the European Union last year. They are mandating all cell phone makers use a universal charger by 2024 or their phones will not be allowed to be sold in the EU. The politician’s are confident it will cut down on environmental waste. 

At first, users were skeptical about the new charger. They didn’t know how it would work, or if it was safe to use. But as more people tried it out, they found that it was actually better than the old charger.

The USB-C charger is faster and more efficient than the old charger. It charges the phone much quicker, and also has a data transfer rate that is faster than ever before. some of the new iPhone 15 models will support charging up to 35W, compared to the 27W speeds that the current iPhone 14 Pro is limited to. People are able to transfer their music, videos, and photos in a matter of seconds.

“It can be annoying because when I forget mine I can’t just ask anyone for a charger because most people use the original iphone chargers,” Nathalie Rangel, 11, said.

Some people still complained that they had to buy a new charger, but most people were excited about the new technology. They felt that it was a small price to pay for such a big improvement in their phone’s charging capabilities

“I like it because it’s nice and new and fast, I like when Apple actually does new things and new features including the charger.” Angelica Gonzalez, 11, said.
