There are many movies in the world that hold many stories behind each one, but there is one movie that has a story behind it like no other. A story of a man with an immense drive for vengeance against those that wronged him; this is the story of John Wick.

There were many famous figures that were featured in each movie, but there are three that deserved to be mentioned. The first of which is Keanu Reeves, playing as the infamous John Wick, performed incredibly well in front of the screens as a hitman out for revenge and he’s even expressed enthusiasm for the role. The second one is Ian McShane, playing as hotel manager Winston, who acted out his role to a T and gave off an aura similar to that of a man who has nothing to lose except his secrets. The final one is Laurence Fishburne, who plays Bowery King. He plays his part as a charismatic king with perfection and wants everyone to know that he’s the king of the streets. With these wonderful people in the movies, they were bound to be successful and enjoyable to watch.

The story behind this franchise is insane and utterly sad for many reasons, from the action to those little tender moments that make it worthwhile. This movie shows a whole other world, a secret society that the public knows nothing about, this is the world of assassins. But there is one man who is feared by all as The Boogeyman: John Wick. The man who was trying to escape from that world in the first place found himself in a heap of trouble, leaving many bodies in his wake so that no one stands in his way for revenge against the society that wronged him. He has many allies and enemies that’ll either help him or turn on him for their survival from the High Table, the highest authority in the assassin world. John Wick will stop at nothing until he gets his freedom back, even if it costs his life to do so.

To wrap up this somber story, the franchise is a must watch for those who haven’t seen it yet. Not a lot of movies can measure up to this franchise in my opinion, mostly because how each movie hits so close to home. The story of John Wick is a sad one, littered with much loss and grief. But let this be a reminder that if you take away everything from the wrong person, expect there to be consequences for the crimes you’ve committed.
