Genghis Khan goes on trial

Cheering with excitement, the prosecution side finds out they won the trial.

Kaitlyn Sitton, Staff Writer

Each year, a highlight in AP World History is the unit focused on the Mongols. Students spend a week preparing to go to trial to decide if Genghis Khan and his descendants were guilty of crimes against humanity.

In an AP World History unit about the Mongols, students held a mock trial to decide whether or not Genghis Khan and his descendants were guilty of crimes against humanity. The students split up between the defense and the prosecution. They spent more than a week doing research before holding a trial with a jury of faculty members this week.
